Overview
Gemini for Google Workspace is Google's AI add-on for Business and Enterprise Workspace plans. Rather than a separate tool, Gemini works inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet — employees never leave the app they are already using.
In Gmail, Gemini drafts emails from a short description, summarises long threads and suggests contextually appropriate replies. In Google Docs it supports drafting, style improvement and content generation from templates. In Sheets it analyses data, creates formulas and answers questions about spreadsheets in plain language.
Gemini in Google Meet automatically generates meeting notes and action-item summaries after each call ends. Gemini in Drive enables smart document search and file-content summaries through natural-language questions.
NotebookLM — included with Gemini for Workspace — lets employees upload internal documents (PDFs, Docs, slides) and ask AI questions grounded exclusively in those documents, making it ideal for deep research and internal knowledge synthesis.
